Shamu's Dream Team

Dennis is the official safety coach for the Shamu trainers at Seaworld San Diego. Through out the year the Shamu trainers will join into our practice sessions to learn skills that will help enhance their show quality and more importantly help to keep them safe. Diving off a board is difficult, however diving off of a moving Killer Whale can be even more difficult and dangerous. The trainers can reach heights of 25 feet and are landing in 55 degree salt water. Learning the way to maintain correct body position in the air and during the landing is extremely important.  Diving along side of the Shamu Dream Team has been a very enriching experience for our divers and parents.
